Overview
This design proposes to allow dots in the value of PBS_MOM_NODE_NAME variable in the PBS configuration file.
Technical Details
If PBS_MOM_NODE_NAME is defined, current implementation of PBS Mom tests if its value is an IP address. If it is, then the value is used literally. Otherwise, the value is truncated at the first dot. For example, a node name in URL format like node1.example.com is truncated to node1. This design proposes to modify PBS Mom to not truncated the value of PBS_MOM_NODE_NAME regardless if it is an IP address. So that dots, and therefore URL format node names are allowed.
