Interface: Remove netwins resource.

  • Synopsis: AIX platform specific resource netwins is getting removed.

  • Details:

          1.  PBS Pro will no longer schedule jobs using "netwins" resource. PBS Pro will no longer support tracking or computing "netwins" resource i.e. network windows associated with or used by a job, will no longer be tracked or computed by PBS Pro, while scheduling.

          2. Netwins will no longer be a built in chunk level resource.

          3. Scheduler's resources parameter i.e. "resources:" in pbs_sched_config, will no longer show "netwins" as default resource.

          4. The job's Resource_List attribute will no longer list the "netwins" resource.

          5. Job will no longer be able to request "netwins" resource through "-lresource=value" or "-lselect=" specification.

          6. "netwins" resource will no longer be readable or settable by a hook.

          7. Calculation of "netwins" resource, will no longer be possible irrespective of PBS_GET_IBWINS environment variable setting.

          8. "netwins" resource will no longer be supported at server or queue level via qmgr.

  • Details:

        1. pbs_ibwins.hk and pbs_ibwins.py will no longer be available under location $PBS_EXEC/lib/python/altair/pbs_hooks or $PBS_HOME/server_priv/hooks. 

        2.  pbs_ibwins hook will no longer be supported via qmgr.
